Motion or travel sickness occurs whilst travelling by sea, car or
riding an animal, typical symptoms are:

Dizziness

Fatigue

General discomfort
Motion Sickness is triggered by over stimulation of motion-detecting
hair cells which are in the inner ear, this triggers motion sickness
in the brain as it get conflicting messages from the eyes.
The eyes are telling the brain that the environment is steady but the
motion detecting organs are telling the brain that it is not.
One in three people are highly affected by motion sickness and a further
third will suffer in very rough conditions.
Children around the age of ten, tend to suffer from motion sickness
the worst.
To avoid motion sickness it is best to:

Avoid alcohol before traveling

Drink ginger tea or ginger beer
-
Chew crystallized ginger tablets or take ginger tablets,
this will help with nausea

Only eat light meals before and whilst travelling
-
Get plenty of fresh air
-
Try to concentrate on objects in the far distance
whilst travelling

Some people have found that acupuncture to be beneficial
with helping with the symptoms of motion sickness
